Dr. Edward Tomoye is a compassionate and caring physician who has spent his entire medical career alleviating pain and suffering in patients who have suffered from some of the most debilitating diseases known to modern medicine. His broad training in internal medicine, and subsequent specialization in infectious disease, has provided him the necessary foundation and experience in understanding how chronic diseases work and how they can ravage the human body.
Dr. Tomoye, through his exposure in treating chronic wounds, also developed an interest in hyperbaric oxygen therapy. This interest led him to complete a prestigious fellowship in Undersea & Hyperbaric medicine at Duke University.
During his wide and varied career, Dr. Tomoye has identified a great need for compassionate and personalized chronic pain management. Today’s patients are suffering from countless chronic diseases that have left them in daily unrelenting pain. Sadly, in this current age of narcotic overdoses and subsequent crackdown on physician prescribers, patients are scrambling to find a new, safe, and effective treatment modality to help alleviate their pain. This is where Dr. Tomoye believes his unique clinical skill-set can truly make an impact in the quality of life of his patients.
As a physician trained in osteopathic medicine (D.O.), Dr. Tomoye’s approach is holistic and “patient centered” i.e. focussing on the whole self. This approach not only considers the patients present discomfort but also their sociological and psychological state. He enjoys treating patients with chronic musculoskeletal pain, neuropathy, migraines and seasonal allergies using osteopathic manipulative techniques (OMM) in addition to other advanced modalities such as percussion and laser therapy.
Dr. Tomoye aims to give his patients the best care by diagnosing illnesses and promoting healing using his hands – Osteopathic Manipulation Medicine (OMM) – thereby ensuring zero pain. Combining this with all available modalities gives the patient the most comprehensive care available in medicine today. In his own words, “I decided to become an osteopathic physician to positively affect lives through medicine, educate future doctors, and change the world by participating in research.”
Dr. Tomoye also focuses on nutrition as a tool in management of pain and discomfort. “I enjoy assisting patients to return to good health through OMM and nutrition.”
He has already successfully treated numerous chronic pain patients utilizing a multi-modality approach that includes a combination of osteopathic musculoskeletal manipulation (OMM), nutrition, exercise, percussion, laser therapy etc.. and has witnessed first-hand the success of these treatments and is excited to be able to offer this type of medical practice for chronic pain patients throughout the Dallas-Fort worth area.
